Lisa Acosta (of the species Homo sapiens) is bent on discovering what it is to be human. Two years ago she abandoned employment for experience and adventure (also: poverty). Since, she has been working with her partner to create a new, simpler life amongst the wooded ridges of SW Wisconsin. This is Lisa’s first attempt at having poetry published, though she has created hand-written books of poems for public spaces, and writes for and performs as part of the independent musical duo The Deep Light.
